Message From Our CEO

To Our Valued Customers,

The health and wellness of our customers and team members are always our top priority. In light of recent developments of the Coronavirus and the media’s coverage of this virus to the public, we feel that it is important to provide our customers with an update on how we are proactively doing our part to keep everyone we work and interact with safe in all of our stores.

We are being sensible with contact between our sales staff and you, our customer. While we love a good handshake, at this time please forgive us for not engaging in a full handshake welcome. We will welcome you into our store with a friendly smile and perhaps an elbow tap, fist bump or toe tap. We also are encouraging our team members to stay home and consult a doctor if they feel unwell.

You can take comfort in that we have elevated cleaning procedures at all of our store locations. We are wiping down all hard surfaces, including countertops, and anything that can be touched or handled. Our cleaning regimen has increased to multiple times throughout the day. We have sanitizer available for use to any of our customers and staff throughout each store location.

We are diligently looking for additional measures to ensure everyone’s safety. Our stores are remaining open at this time with adjusted hours. If you are unsure about coming into our stores, please join us online at carpetmart.com. Thank you, as always, for being a valued part of the Airbase-Lomax Carpet & Tile Mart family. We look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Michael Longwill, 3rd Generation President Carpet & Tile Mart

  1. Thank you for the update. We are all waiting it out. I need to get a carpet for this bedroom but have to wait and be patient. Thank you for being there.

    1. Hi Neil – We are taking the necessary precautions to make sure that all our installers are following CDC cleaning guidelines. We make sure that prior to any installation we are contacting our installers to make sure they are well and not exposed as well as the customers that we are interacting with. Additionally, we are asking that every home remove personal items from installation rooms so that our teams are safe while installing.

  2. do you really think you should be open??? what life sustaining service do you provide?
and with a shelter at home order do you think it is wise to invite people out to your store????

    1. Hi Bill
We live in dangerous times to be sure. I wanted to thank you for your concerns. Rest assured that we are following the Governors directives as well as the precautions outlined by the CDC.

As is the case with Home Depot and Lowe’s, our company, although much smaller, is classified as a Building Supply Retailer and thus an essential business. This does not mean that ware unaware of our responsibility to customers and employees to provide a safe buying experience and work site for our staff. We practice social distancing, clean and sanitize surfaces through out the day and provide on line alternatives for those who would prefer to shop at home.

Only those employees who choose to work and observe the guidelines are at the store ready to serve you. Our customers continue to shop at our stores because we are fulfilling a very important need for them. Again, thank you so much for sharing your concerns. I hope that I have satisfactorily explained to you why we remain open.

      Best wishes,
      Michael Longwill
